President Barack Obama started the TechHire initiative, a campaign to expand local tech sectors by building tech talent pipelines in communities across the country. Today, TechHire is a national movement that encompasses 72 U.S. cities, states, and rural regions, over 1300 employers, and 237 community and training partners.

The U.S. Department of Labor awarded TechHire Grant to City of Atlanta, and the City of Atlanta has chosen GALLEGA as one of its partner to implement this TechHire program. This partnership between City of Atlanta, GALLEGA, and several employers, is designed to meet the growing workforce demand in technology fields. The ATL-GALLEGA-TechHire program provides job training for participants, ages 17-29, blending accelerated training, hands-on experience in web and software application development, real-world employer projects, and certification toward industry-recognized credentialing..

Individualized Training Techniques:
GALLEGA recognizes that all participants do not learn in the same way. Therefore, the program offers various individualized training techniques that will be more productive and comfortable for participants. These workshops are Classroom instructor led ‘bootcamp style’ workshops coducted at our downtown Atlanta facility.

  • Are you authorized to work in the U.S.?
  • Are you interested in a career in Information Technology?
  • FREE training if you are between the age of 17-29, and have a high school diploma (or equivalent)* [restricted to individuals from a low- to moderate-income households living in Atlanta area and individuals that are underrepresented in Atlanta’s tech sector]
